The world championships is over for this time
(2006-09-07)In the singel event that was played on the short pattern, i needed 1370-1400 to make it to top 16, and the urethanball i used previous on the short pattern did not make enough strikes for that kind of result so a took a chance with a reactiv ball. The start was not good at all, and after a first game of 169 it was practictime the remaining games.
It has been a instructive championship, and mostly on the short pattern where we have really much to learn. My goal to take a medal in this championships didnt work out so well, but there is a new world championships in Bangkok 2008.

(2006-09-05)Already early in todays squad it was obvious that the chance to goldmedal was almost gone, but when we started the last game we had the bronze in sight. Everything was decided in the last frame, but the pins just didnt fall and we ended up 4th, 14 pins after Finland. I have never played a teamevent when so many hits in the pocket had result in a such low score as 73 over for 15 games. Now we just forgetting this and look forward to the singles that will take part the two coming days. I play on thursday 1.30 pm local time.

(2006-09-04)The first half of the team event was played today, and on the long pattern. We got a good start with 1129, then we struggled a littel in the second, but got a solid last game with 1134 to end up with 3307. We a right now on second position 88 pins behind USA, when half of the field had played. The team event ends tomorrow with three games on the short pattern.

(2006-09-03)We had a little hope to get a medal, but the lanes was not even close the same as on the doubles, and it was another day to fighting down the pins. At least we did a ok finish with 661 and ended up on 14th position.

(2006-09-02)The trios is played over to days and also on dual patterns. Today we played the short pattern, and the scores was not as high as on the long pattern. We(me, Tomas, Martin) had a decent day on the lanes and ended up with 1889 for nine games, which right now with one squad left is good for a 8th place, and 123 pins after Korea. The trios ends with 3 games on the long pattern tomorrow at 4.30 pm local time.

(2006-09-01)Was a little nervous in the start and had a couple of open frame, but it felt ok anyhow. Unfortanly i did not get so many strikes, and 570 after three games was not good at all. But things turned my wat the last three games and a ended up with 1320 for 6 games, and a finally 7th place for me and Tomas. The bronze was only 60 pins away, so with a better start for me it could have ended up even better. The gold went to Sweden anyhow, as Robert Andersson and Martin Larsen claim the victory, so we swedes has got a good start on this championships... something we intend to continue with!
Tomorrow i played the trios with Tomas and Martin.

(2006-08-30)Todays official practice was just fine. The short pattern was as a thougt a little tricky, but found a really good play on the second third board straight down the lane. The long pattern was preatty similar to Helsingborg, and there it as we now really well. Will start the doubles with Tomas Leandersson on friday afternoon.

(2006-08-26)Travelling to Busan today, and after four flights we will be in Busan on sundaynight local time. On monday the first practicesession will take place, and the competition start with the doubles on thursday or friday.
