| (2008-07-20)It started good this morning, the lanes had a little more backend, which was no disadvantage for me. Started with 245 and everything felt really good, but i should made some changes in the second game, becaase there was always one pin left after my first ball. After 180 in the third, i was a little under the gun last game, and was lucky to hit a pair with some margin for errors. 225 in that game and made the cut with about 20 pins.
Next block was a little harder to go thru, as only 10 out of 24 players made it in to matchplay round. I also started this block good, but had a bad break in the 9th frame with a 7-10 split, and had 223 in that game. The next two games was i real struggle, and going in to the last gaem i was about 10 pins from the cut. Had 218 in the last and that was not enough..missed by 16 pins, and ended up in 19th position.
Its anyhow not so bad, as i been struggling a lot this week, felt much better today, but ofcourse i threw some shots i rather have undone:-)
A completly different story i cant have unwritten here is:
Pete Weber may be a really good bowler, but if you standingh in the bar and drinking beer 2 1/2 huor before the final starts, and the tournament organizers just let that pass thru without doing anything, there must be something that is really really wrong..?!?
Everybody talking about to get the bowling in to the olympics, but when things like this is happening it just feels that we are getting longer and longer away from the olympic family.
(2008-07-19)This was more difficult then i thought, have now made 3 attempt without making the cut. Found something in my last squad yesterday, so hopefully i will make it today. Play at 1 pm, and if necessary at 9 pm.

What felt good in the last squad yesterday felt even better today, and i am very very pleased that i made the final., as i benn struggeling with my technique very much this week.
Ended my squad with 259 for a total 1371 which right now is good for 18th position. The final start at 9 am tomorrow. |
