Always tough with final, as its the 2 best teams that battle for the crown, but this time it was easier then ever. Sundbyberg tried to break down the lane during the 10 min practice with really dull ball, but that was nothing they succeded with...1892(!) on our 8 players was the answer they got back, and the first game ended 4-1. After 2 more games with the same resutl the first match was over, but we played the last game and that also ended 4-1.
The thing you can wounder about is if it would been better if our opponents had focus on there own game during practice, because this match they wherer really bad.
The next match was much tighter and after 2 games we had the lead with 6-4, but it could been 4-6 instead. In the third game we started reallly really good with a lot of strikes, and after 3-4 frames it felt like Sundbyberg had thrown in the towel. The last half of the game was a joy to play, with all the supporters shouting GOLD, GOLD, GOLD...the feeling is hard to explain, you need to be on site to understand the atmosphere.
This was Pergamons 7th straight gold, and we have no thoughts to end this streak!
We will enjoy this victory for a while, but the preparations for next years league will start pretty soon, so we can have the same enjoyment when the laguefinals take place in May 2010.
(2009-05-09)The matches today ended the same way as the match yesterday, that means 15-5 and 15-5.
Not so muvh more to write about it, now we starting the preparations for the final tomorrow, which will be against Sundbyberg or Joker.
(2009-05-08)Today starts the highlight of the year, and we are all exicted and prepared for what to come this weekend. We arrived to Kalmar yesterday afternoon and had a 3 hours training session on the pattern, which is PBA Shark and was pretty dry compared to last week supersix in Gothenburg.
Will be a day of just relaxing before the first and only match for the day which is against Sundbyberg and starts at 5 pm.

The match against Sundbyberg started in the best way, and we had 5-0 going in to the last frame, but me and my partner Kim Bolleby lost our match as our opponents struck out frame 9&10.
The next game was in favour of Sundbyberg, but we turned a 1-4 to a 3-2 in the last two frames and 7-3 halfway was really good.
It fet like our opponents didnt have the strengt to fight the second half of the match as we won both games with 4-1 and a total win of 15-5.
I myself went out after 2 games which pretty much only was spareshooting as i almost didnt have any strikes at all, but went in the last game and manage to get some strike for a total score of 597.
Matches tomorrow at 10 am against Joker and 3.30 pm against Kulladal. |
